Medical Electronics
Paragon has developed a broad range of patient-connected electronic instrumentation, such as EMG, ECG, EEG monitors and pulse oximeters. We have also developed novel drug delivery systems, electroporation generators, nerve stimulators, an extracorporeal liver assist device and a bone growth stimulator.

Laser Systems and RF Generators
We have particular expertise developing and producing laser-based instrumentation and radio-frequency (RF) generators. Examples of laser-based instrumentation include a transcranial stroke treatment system, a blood analyzer and a drug dosage measurement system. We have developed RF generators for ablating cardiac tissue, denervating kidney nerves and removing spinal discs, as well as electrosurgery systems for cutting, coagulating and plasma-based treatment.

Minimally-Invasive Devices
Paragon has designed and fabricated minimally-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic devices including spinal surgery devices, an ultrasound-based wrinkle treatment system, orthopedic stent devices, a visualization device for urinary incontinence surgery, a delivery system for treating reflux disease, liposuction equipment, laparoscopic instruments, flexible endoscopic devices and interventional catheter systems.

Laboratory and Biotech Instruments
We have produced instruments such as blood analyzers, immunoassay instruments, automated reagent processing systems, DNA analyzers, stem cell processing instruments, centrifuges and microfluidics processors. Our team has expertise in precision 3-axis motion control, macro/microfluidics, optoelectronics, bar-code scanning, automated pipetting, syringe pumps, precision heating and cooling, peristaltic pumping and pH/pO2/pCO2 control.

Wireless Medical Devices
Paragon has designed and developed implantable sensors and telemetry systems for detecting and datalogging physiological parameters such as temperature and motion. We have also developed wireless, self-propelled capsules that move through the GI tract, as well as radio frequency identification (RFID) systems for tracking expensive drugs and preventing medication errors in hospitals.

Multi-channel, temperature-controlled RF generator for ablating cardiac tissue in order to treat atrial fibrillation.
Aneurism Coil Deployment System
Battery-operated, single-use device to deploy platinum coils into brain aneurisms.
RFID Dispensing Station
System for securely dispensing pharmaceuticals and supplies using high-density RFID tags and scanning equipment.
Fingertip Pulse Oximeter
